Wickenburg Way and Tegner at the light in downtown Wickenburg.) \nLocal artists and members of the Wickenburg Art Club will be exhibiting artworks in many media\, including sculpture\, oil and acrylic painting\, pastel\, photography and digital art\, wood carving and wood turning\, drawing and mixed media. Sales are encouraged! \nThe Wickenburg Art Club and the Sigler Western Museum\, cornerstones of Wickenburg’s art community since the 1960’s\, collaborate for the Annual West of Center show\, a community-curated exhibition and sale. Each summer\, the museum hosts the Wickenburg Art Club which curates a selection of artwork by its talented members. \nThis collaboration\, now lasting for more than a decade\, was an outgrowth of the community’s interest in promoting art and business in Wickenburg’s historic downtown area and has been a success ever since. \nThe exhibit features the work of over 30 local artists adept in many different art media\, such as\, painting\, ceramics\, photography\, wood-working\, fiber art\, jewelry\, and more. There is something for every art lover to enjoy. Artists also  give free demonstrations during the run of the show. \nThe public is invited to attend a Preview Reception to view the artwork and vote for their favorite piece of art for the People’s Choice award\, enjoy refreshments\, and meet the artists at this special celebration.

DESCRIPTION:Few things beat a Wickenburg sunset\, and this guided evening hike gives you a front-row seat. \nOn Thursday\, August 27\, Ranger Olivia will lead a Sunset Hike through Hassayampa River Preserve\, with time to enjoy desert views\, look for evening wildlife\, and watch the sun go down from Lykes Lookout. \nThe hike is expected to cover about 1 to 1.5 miles\, beginning near Palm Lake Loop and River Ramble before heading toward the overlook. The terrain is mostly easy\, with small to medium rocks underfoot and a short 90-foot elevation gain near the end. \nBring closed-toe shoes\, plenty of water\, and a flashlight.
