DESCRIPTION:West of Center: Highlights from the Wickenburg Art Club\nunspecified \nJuly 25 – September 27\, 2026 \nThe exhibit and art sale will be on view at the museum’s Cultural Crossroads Learning Center\, located at 10 N Tegner Street in Wickenburg (Corner of W. Wickenburg Way and Tegner at the light in downtown Wickenburg.) \nLocal artists and members of the Wickenburg Art Club will be exhibiting artworks in many media\, including sculpture\, oil and acrylic painting\, pastel\, photography and digital art\, wood carving and wood turning\, drawing and mixed media. Sales are encouraged! \nThe Wickenburg Art Club and the Sigler Western Museum\, cornerstones of Wickenburg’s art community since the 1960’s\, collaborate for the Annual West of Center show\, a community-curated exhibition and sale. Each summer\, the museum hosts the Wickenburg Art Club which curates a selection of artwork by its talented members. \nThis collaboration\, now lasting for more than a decade\, was an outgrowth of the community’s interest in promoting art and business in Wickenburg’s historic downtown area and has been a success ever since. \nThe exhibit features the work of over 30 local artists adept in many different art media\, such as\, painting\, ceramics\, photography\, wood-working\, fiber art\, jewelry\, and more. There is something for every art lover to enjoy. Artists also  give free demonstrations during the run of the show. \nThe public is invited to attend a Preview Reception to view the artwork and vote for their favorite piece of art for the People’s Choice award\, enjoy refreshments\, and meet the artists at this special celebration.

DESCRIPTION:Guided Bird Walk at Hassayampa River Preserve\nDiscover the birds of Arizona’s desert waterways during a guided morning walk through the Hassayampa River Preserve. \nJoin Ranger Eric to look and listen for resident and migrating bird species within the Preserve’s diverse riparian habitat. Along the way\, participants will learn how to identify birds by sight and sound\, explore the behaviors and ecological traits that make each species unique\, and discover citizen-science resources such as eBird and iNaturalist. \nThe walk will cover at least one mile on trails that are mostly flat and shaded\, with some uneven or sandy areas. A limited number of binoculars will be available to borrow. \nPlease wear sturdy footwear and sun protection\, and bring plenty of water. \nRegistration is required and limited to only 10 participants. Registration closes Friday\, September 11.
