You can expect to take in an overload of your favorite sport.” \nIn 2021\, the seventh edition of The Horse Sale at Rancho Rio moved more than $2.5 million in rope horses and has surpassed the million-dollar mark in total sales since 2019. Art from the Other Half of the West” exhibition and sale\, a tribute to the remarkable contributions by more than 60 of today’s best women artists to the Western genre. Opening on March 22 and running through September 1\, 2024\, this exhibition offers a unique perspective on the West\, highlighting the often-underrepresented narratives of women in Western art. \nThis year’s 65 artists represent a diverse gathering of returning talent like Rachel Brownlee from Nebraska and new faces such as Dolores Purdy\, a member of the Caddo Nation of Oklahoma. More than 250 individual pieces including paintings\, drawings and sculpture will be on display in five galleries of the Museum. \nOpening Weekend\nThe exhibition and sale begins with a public preview on Friday\, March 22\, from 2 to 5 p.m.\, and Saturday\, March 23\, from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Ticketed events will continue until 10 p.m. Saturday with the main sale silent auction from 4-5:30 p.m. and miniatures sale silent auction from 5:30-7 p.m with grazin’ and DJ dancin’ in the tent. The opening weekend concludes with the “Quick Draw\,” breakfast\, and live auction from 8 a.m. to noon on Sunday\, March 24. \nMost miniatures may be collected after noon on Sunday\, March 24 and full-size works will be available for pick-up or delivery after September 3. Live music\, food & drinks – Not to miss event for Wickenburg\, Arizona \n \nFrequently Asked Questions\n\nHow do I register my car or airplane?\nThere is no registration for this event.\nWhat time do I need to arrive if I am putting a car in the show?\nPlease plan on arriving between 7 to 7:30 am. If you arrive around 9 am when the event starts\, you more than likely will be parking out in the lot with all other event attendees.\nHow much does it cost to be in the car show?\nIt is free to put a car in the show. Please arrive early. We recommend you arrive between 7 to 7:30 am.\nWhat time do I need to arrive if I am putting an airplane in the show?\nPlease plan on arriving between 7 to 8 am. If you arrive around 9 am when the event starts\, you more than likely will be parking your airplane at the midfield apron.\nHow much does it cost to put an airplane in the show?\nIt is free to put an airplane in the show. We are giving away a free breakfast voucher to the first 75 pilots who fly in. We recommend arriving between 7 to 8 am. Please sign in at the sign-in table located near the gas pumps to get your breakfast voucher.\nIf I fly in and I have a few friends with me\, do they also get a breakfast voucher?\nNo\, only the pilot who flew in gets the breakfast voucher.\nHow do I get discounted fuel for my aircraft?\nYou can get discounted fuel before or after the event. Fuel will be unavailable during the event due to the high pedestrian and airplane traffic near the pump. We will also have it discounted the day before (January 17) and the day after (January 19).

DESCRIPTION:WESTERN FUN AT THE 76th ANNUAL GOLD RUSH DAYS \nFEBRUARY 14-16\, 2025 – WICKENBURG\, ARIZONA \nThis three-day event celebrates the town’s origins as a ranching and gold mining center in the days before Phoenix was established. This heritage event was founded 76 years ago\, and today Gold Rush Days draws thousands of visitors during the three-and-a-half days of activities. \nTHE RODEO \nThe National Senior Professional Rodeo & Open Rough Stock takes place on Saturday\, February 15th and Sunday\, February 16th at the Everett Bowman Rodeo Arena (935 Constellation Road)\, located just a mile and a half outside the downtown district. Gates open at noon\, and the rodeo begins at 2:00pm each day. Rodeo is rain or shine. Purchase tickets with a card online or at the Wickenburg Visitor Center. (216 N. Frontier Street) \nOTHER GOLD RUSH FESTIVITIES \nFestivities for the weekend begin on Thursday\, February 13th with Brown’s Amusements Family Fun Carnival which will open at 4:00pm at the Wickenburg Community Center (160 N. Valentine Street). \nGold Rush Days officially begins on Friday\, February 14th during the opening ceremonies on Frontier Street at 10:00am. Kick off the weekend with Gold Rush officials and enjoy live entertainment. Additionally\, Friday is the only day you’ll be able to see beautiful classic cars up close and personal on Frontier Street from 9:00am to 2:00pm. \nFrom 9:00am to 5:00pm on Friday\, Saturday\, and Sunday\, the main festival area (160 N. Valentine Street) will showcase 150 Wickenburg Art Club Artisan Fair & juried art show vendors\, family fun carnival\, live music\, gold panning\, over 150 arts and crafts vendors\, and more. The carnival will continue to run throughout the evening each day. \nThe parade is on Saturday\, February 15th at 10:00am. The Gold Rush Days parade is one of the largest in Arizona with over 70 entries which include dozens of horses! Classic automobiles\, marching bands\, and youth groups will also be participating. Over a decade later\, CU! remains one of the major national events for Western women artists. \n \nCowgirl Up! is a crossroads where artists\, collectors\, and art enthusiasts come together to explore what it means to be a Western artist. CU! artists ride the range of techniques\, styles\, and mediums\, traditional and contemporary. \nYour purchase of original artworks supports the endeavors of women artists working today and of the Desert Caballeros Western Museum. CU! art can be bought throughout the run of the exhibition at the Museum or online. \nThe Cowgirl Up! exhibition is divided into two parts: a gallery of “miniatures” and a gallery of full-sized art. DESCRIPTION:Legends of the West ProRodeo is a PRCA-sanctioned rodeo event in Wickenburg\, Arizona\, on April 5th and 6th.\nGates will open at 1 p.m.\, and performances are scheduled to start at 3 p.m. \n“Legends’ celebrates Wickenburg’s western and ranching heritage by acknowledging the folks from Wickenburg and surrounding communities who have contributed to the sport of professional rodeo in Wickenburg. \nThe Wickenburg community will once again open its doors to those professional rodeo cowboys and cowgirls that make their way to Wickenburg\, AZ to compete in 8 rodeo events: \nBareback riding \nSteer Wrestling \nTie-Down Roping \nBreakaway \nSaddle Bronc \nTeam Roping \nBarrel Racing \nBull Riding \nThis year\, we welcome the ‘The Misfit Cowboy’ PRCA barrel man to keep the crowd entertained\, as well as a demonstration from Arizona’s Mounted Shooting Assoc. \nSaturday is Tuff Enuff to wear pink night\, sponsored by Wrangler’s ‘Wrangler Bucks Cancer’ fund. The rodeo will donate a $1 from every ticket sold on Saturday to Wickenburg’s Pink Ribbon Angels\, The Pink Ribbon Angels have funded more than 2\,500 free mammograms and diagnostic tests\, and more than 400 free screenings for women and men ages 35 – 64 for members of the Wickenburg community and surrounding areas\, that were either uninsured or under-insured. \nSunday is Military and First Responder Day\, please join us on this special day and pay tribute for all that they do to keep us safe. \nWe look forward to seeing you in Wickenburg\, Arizona. \nBUY TICKETS HERE

DESCRIPTION:Giddy-on-up to the 12th Annual Wickenburg’s Wild West Run! Cinch up your shoes\, secure your hat\, and come run (or walk!) through Arizona’s most western town.\n \nFollowing an out-and-back course beginning at Sunset Park (3020 W. Wickenburg Way\, Wickenburg\, AZ 85390)\, the race takes a gradually descending path east until reaching the 5k turnaround.\nHeading south and with the majestic Vulture Peak off in the distance\, 10k and half-marathon runners face a gradual climb in elevation until reaching their respective turnaround points.\n10k participants turn around just beyond Wickenburg’s Los Caballeros Golf Course\, while half-marathon runners continue through Wickenburg’s scenic terrain and gently rolling hills for another 3.45 miles before turning back.\nHaving gradually ascended above the town\, the turnaround gives participants a picturesque view of Wickenburg and its surrounding beauty.  You won’t find a more beautiful run in all of Arizona.  Enjoy your run!  And yes!  You can run in your spurs; just don’t squat!
