DESCRIPTION:Rancho Rio Opens the 2026 Team Roping Season in Wickenburg October 24 \nTeam roping season is riding back into Wickenburg! \nRancho Rio launches its 2026 season on Saturday\, October 24\, with a full day of National Team Roping competition in the Team Roping Capital of the World. \nEntries close at 9:00 a.m.\, and the first roping begins at 9:30 a.m. The Season Opener includes multiple divisions\, trophy buckle opportunities and classes for a range of competitors. \n \n8.5 Two-Steer\nTrophy buckles will be awarded to first place. \n\nPick one\, draw one or draw two for $150\nEnter up to three times\nHandicapped\n4.5 cap\n\n8.5 Legends High Roller\nOpen to competitors age 40 and older and cowgirls over age 30. \n\nPick one or draw for $120 per roper\nEnter up to three times\nFour-steer\nHandicapped\n4.5 cap\n70% payback\n\n9.5 Handicap\nThis four-steer roping will award trophy buckles to first place. Books close at 10:30 a.m. \n\nPick one\, draw one or draw two for $150\nEnter up to three times\nFour-steer\nHandicapped\n5.5 cap\n\n10.5 Handicap\n\nPick one\, draw one or draw two for $150\nEnter up to three times\nFour-steer\n6.5 cap\n\n12.5 Slide\nCompetitors may enter up to four times. Books will not close before 2:00 p.m. \n\nPick one or draw for $120\nEnter up to four times\nHandicap up and down at 1.5 seconds per number\nMaximum of six seconds added or subtracted\nFour-steer\n70% payback\n\nImportant Competitor Information\nCash and credit cards will be accepted. The event offers a two-thirds cash and prize payback unless otherwise noted. \nA current Global Handicap is required.
