Participants will learn identification techniques\, bird behavior and ways to contribute observations through citizen-science resources. The walk covers at least one mile on mostly flat trails\, with some uneven or sandy areas. Registration is required and limited to 10 participants. Registration closes September 11. Ranger Eric will lead participants along the trails in search of bats\, owls\, ringtails\, foxes\, skunks\, javelinas\, scorpions\, insects and other nocturnal creatures. The easy walk covers approximately 1-1.5 miles. Bring a flashlight or ultraviolet blacklight if available\, wear sturdy footwear and carry plenty of water. Registration is required\, limited to 12 participants and closes September 16. This free\, family-friendly evening includes ranger-guided bat habitat tours\, educational tables\, viewing optics\, ambassador raptors from Wild at Heart and local food vendors. Viewing is centered around the Wickenburg pedestrian bridge and nearby Hwy. 60 bridge. The pedestrian bridge is wheelchair-accessible.
