Guided Dragonfly Walk at Hassayampa River Preserve

Hassayampa River Preserve is one of Wickenburg’s best places to slow down and notice the details, and this guided Dragonfly Walk is all about those bright, fast-moving little wonders near the water.

Join Ranger Eric on Sunday, August 30, from 7:15 to 9:15 AM to learn about dragonflies and damselflies at this desert oasis. The walk will explore areas around River Ramble and Palm Lake, with the route adjusted for time and heat.

According to the Preserve, more than 50 species of dragonflies and damselflies have been found there. Some binoculars may be available to borrow, but guests should bring water, wear sturdy footwear, and plan for sun protection.

Registration is required and limited to 20 participants.
