Friday kicks off with a special film preview of a new independent documentary, Cowgirls: Women of Western Art in the Cultural Crossroads Learning Center (CCLC) at 1 p.m.. Later that afternoon will be the Cowgirl Up! artists award presentation in the big tent on Frontier Street.
Then, the 2026 sale starts in Miniature Gallery with a Silent Auction. Enjoy an appetizer buffet and drinks under the tent.
Saturday Cowgirl Up! opens its doors for a public preview in the morning, offering a first look at the galleries and a chance to own Cowgirl Up! miniature artworks. Late morning features a book signing and a presentation titled: Mac Schweitzer: A Southwest Maverick and Her Art with author and historian Dr. Ann Hedlund.
The festivities continue into the evening with the Main Gallery silent auction, followed by dinner and our annual live auction/fundraiser beneath the big tent.
Sunday at Cowgirl Up! begins with breakfast under the big tent while artists set up for the annual Quick Draw outside the Museum on Frontier Street. As the morning continues, visitors can watch new works take shape before the auction begins where the freshly created pieces are sold. It’s an annual gathering and flurry of creativity you won’t want to miss.
Through the late morning and early afternoon, the Main Museum, Cultural Crossroads Learning Center, and Ranch Dressing remain open for visitors, with all Cowgirl Up! art available for purchase and buyers can take home their “minis” that afternoon.
It’s a straightforward, Western-style finish to the Cowgirl Up! weekend, bringing guests together from all over the country for art, food, and community.
