See the desert come alive after dark during a guided Scorpion Hike at the Hassayampa River Preserve.
Join Ranger Derik for an evening adventure beneath the stars while searching for scorpions and other nocturnal creatures that emerge after the desert sun disappears.
The guided hike covers just over two miles along portions of the Palm Lake, Mesquite Meander and Lykes Lookout trails. Most of the route follows relatively flat terrain. The final section includes approximately 100 feet of elevation gain to reach Lykes Lookout, giving the overall hike a moderate rating.
