"MAKE & TAKE" SNAKE ACTIVITY THIS FRIDAY & ARIZONA WILDLIFE AUGUST 19. Join us for BearCat Family Friday presented by the Etnyre Foundation this Friday, August 4 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. with activities in the Cultural Crossroads Learning Center. This month's theme will be snakes! Plain wooden snake forms will be provided for the whole family to “make & take” a real or imagined snake with paint. Then on August 19 at 11 a.m. in the Learning Center, the Museum will hold its wildly popular "Arizona Wildlife" presentation. This year Ranger Kevin Thorson from the Desert Outdoor Center at Lake Pleasant will bring some animal ambassadors and will talk about a wide range of subjects related to Arizona wildlife. Come early to get your seat. Family Friday activities and AZ Wildlife presentation are free with paid admission. Free admission for kids 17 and under and always free for museum members.

Qualified contestants will battle it out for their chance to be crowned the champion! Wickenburg Walks To Boot Breast Cancer

Enjoy an early morning walk in historic Wickenburg as part of Wickenburg Breast Cancer Network’s 15th annual walk to raise funds for mammograms and diagnostics for under and uninsured women and men in 13 rural communities in the Wickenburg area. Opening ceremony begins at 7:45 AM to honor survivors and award teams with the most $'s raised and the most team members. On-site participants receive a free drawing ticket for fabulous prizes. The 1 mile or 5k walk (or support your team virtually) begins at 8 AM. and goes through historic downtown Wickenburg and scenic Simpson's Ranch. Teams and costumes are encouraged. Dogs are welcome if on a leash.
