Wickenburg Fly In & Car Show 2023
The crew at Wickenburg Social spent a fun day at the annual Wickenburg Fly In and Car Show at Wickenburg Municipal Airport in Wickenburg Arizona on January 21, 2023.

The day begins with a quick trip to the outskirts of the Historical Western Town of Wickenburg, Arizona. The line of traffic on Highway 60 waiting to turn into the local Municipal Airport is our first clue there is something pretty cool happening today.
Easy entry inside & plenty of parking followed by friendly greetings from Wickenburg’s Finest. Police Officers, Sheriff & Marshals, First Responders, (most sporting Cowboy hats) are posted at the gates. Wickenburg flair… Nice!
The first thing Leslie and I walked up to was a few Experimental Aircraft parked to the left. Looking sleek & fast the small planes are shared with the general public by their proud owners/pilots. Peering into the cockpits one can only imagine the pure magic of flying alone up there in one of these little rocket ships.
Next up we walked over to the fluorescent yellow Helo parked at the top of the lot. PHI Air Evac has been a fixture and workhorse for Wickenburg Hospital since 2017.
We continued down the rows of aircraft on display stopping at each one to look inside or underneath. A friendly hello & answer to any question you can think up, for the pilot or owner attending to that aircraft. Not something you’re able to do everyday!
I noticed a large number of ‘War Veteran’ ball caps on some of the older gents in the crowd. As they walked around the Vintage Navy Trainer and other planes, I could see on their faces, the conjured memories and pride of past service from another life in the military.
After watching a number of aircraft take off and buzz the airfield, we made a turn toward the rows of Hangars where the Car Show was set up.
Dozens of rows. Hot Rods, Custom Builds, Classic & Vintage cars.
New Trucks, Lifted Trucks, Vintage farm trucks.
Late model & brand new Super Cars, exotics & high end sports cars.
Something for everyone at this show.
Finally we set up at the music stage to enjoy a few classic songs from the duo ‘Two of a Kind’ – great way to spend a day here in the West Valley.
