Annual 5k-10k-Half Marathon-Kids’ Fun Run
Wickenburg’s Wild West Run is an annual running event that takes place in Wickenburg, Arizona. The event features a half marathon, 5k, and 10k race, as well as a kids’ fun run. The race is held in the heart of the Sonoran Desert, offering runners a unique and challenging experience.
The event is designed to celebrate the rich history and culture of the Wild West, with many participants dressing up in cowboy hats, boots, and other Western attire. Along the course, runners will pass by historic buildings and landmarks, including the Vulture Mine, which was once one of the most productive gold mines in the country.
In addition to the races, the event also includes a Western-themed expo, live music, food, and other activities for runners and their families to enjoy. Whether you are an experienced runner looking for a challenging race or just looking to have some fun with the family, Wickenburg’s Wild West Run has something for everyone.
The event is hosted by Champions of Wickenburg Youth a non-profit organization raising money to help local youth programs.
