Pamela Kraft Brings Bold Color to Wickenburg This Winter

Pamela Kraft is an award-winning artist and accomplished colorist whose work spans multiple media. A recipient of the Milken National Educator Award and the Robert Rauschenberg Foundation Power of Art Award, Pam is now retired from teaching and fully focused on her studio practice.

A true snowbird, she splits her time between a cattle ranch in Wyoming and her home in Congress, Arizona. Her work has been showcased at venues including the University of Wyoming Art Museum, the Sigler Western Museum, the Wickenburg Art Center & Gallery, Gallery 321 in Casper, and Clay, Paper, Scissors Gallery in Cheyenne. Her pieces have also earned numerous Best of Show and People’s Choice Awards.

What really sets Pam apart is her fearless use of color. She leans into bright, vibrant hues that might seem out of place at first glance – until you see how completely they work with her subject matter. Those unexpected color choices are part of the magic. They bring energy, movement, and emotion to the piece, turning a familiar scene into something you cannot stop looking at.

And beyond the resume, Pam is simply a joy to be around. A very funny and vibrant woman, you can imagine she was a favorite teacher to many of her students – the kind of person who makes you feel instantly welcome, then leaves you smiling after a two-minute conversation.

We met up with Pam at the artist reception last Saturday at the Wickenburg Art Center & Gallery. She was all smiles and kept saying, “Thank you, thank you for the website” before heading off to her next appointment – classic Pam, warm and grateful, then moving at full speed.

BLT Marketing & Design just wrapped up Pam’s new website, where you can learn more about her story and view her work online at www.pamelakraftfineart.com.

Pam’s most recent works can be seen now as one of the Wickenburg Art Center & Gallery’s 2026 Winter Season Featured Artists. Not only is her work on display, the artwork is also available for purchase, and a portion of the proceeds goes to support the Wickenburg Art Center & Gallery.

If you have not seen Pam’s work in person, this is the perfect time to stop in, take a closer look, and experience her bold color choices and expressive style up close. Supporting featured artists helps keep our local arts community thriving – and in this case, your purchase also supports the Art Center & Gallery itself.
