Mother’s Day at Cowboy Cookin’ – A Taste of the West Done Right

This Mother’s Day, we headed over to Cowboy Cookin’ Restaurant & Saloon in Wickenburg for a relaxed, Western-style celebration—and it did not disappoint. From the moment we stepped in, the rustic charm and welcoming atmosphere set the tone for a great afternoon.

We kicked things off with friendly service from our awesome waitress, who made sure our experience was smooth from start to finish. The food? Let’s just say Cowboy Cookin’ lives up to its name.

The Ribeye Steak was perfectly grilled, juicy, and packed with flavor—definitely a highlight. The Pulled Pork Sandwich came loaded with tender meat, but what really stole the show was the side of Mac & Cheese. Leslie’s son, Andrew, declared it “the best I’ve ever had in a restaurant.” High praise from a true mac & cheese aficionado!

And of course, we had to try a classic cheeseburger, which delivered exactly what you’d hope for—simple, satisfying, and downright delicious.

Tucked inside this local gem is a popular saloon, perfect for sipping a drink and soaking in the true spirit of Wickenburg. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, Cowboy Cookin’ is a must for anyone craving comfort food with Western flair.
