Guided Bird Walk With Ranger Eric
Explore the birds and diverse riparian habitat of the Hassayampa River Preserve during a guided morning walk with Ranger Eric.
Participants will look and listen for resident and migrating bird species while learning how to identify birds by sight and sound. Ranger Eric will also discuss the behavioral and ecological characteristics that make each species unique and introduce citizen-science resources such as eBird and iNaturalist.
The walk will cover at least one mile on trails that are mostly flat and shaded, although some sections may be uneven or sandy.
A limited number of binoculars will be available to borrow. Please wear sturdy footwear and sun protection and bring plenty of water.
