What comes alive at the Hassayampa River Preserve after the sun goes down?
Join Ranger Eric for an after-hours adventure through the Preserve’s trails in search of bats, owls, ringtails, foxes, skunks, javelinas, deer, scorpions, insects and other nocturnal wildlife.
Participants will hike approximately 1 to 1.5 miles along mostly flat, easy trails. Some sections may be uneven or sandy. Bring a flashlight or ultraviolet blacklight if you have one. A limited number will be available to borrow.
Please wear sturdy footwear, dress in layers and bring plenty of water.
The program is open to all ages, although the darkness and walking distance may not be appropriate for toddlers or very young children.
