Award Winning Photographer Lisa Saines’ New Website is LIVE
Wickenburg Social is excited to share the launch of Lisa Saines’ new photography website – and it’s a must-browse. The site is packed with multiple galleries showcasing everything from jaw-dropping Southwest landscapes and waterfalls to powerful Western lifestyle images captured in and around the Wickenburg team roping and equine scene. And if something stops you mid-scroll, you can own it – every photo on the site is available as a print on fine art paper, metal, or canvas, with the option to drop ship directly to the client.
Lisa’s creative roots go back to Michigan, where she grew up in a musical family and has always leaned into the arts – she plays piano, sings, and has long been drawn to making things with her hands (she even owned a cake decorating business before photography took center stage). Early on, she earned ribbons for film photography at her local fair – a hint of what was coming.
By trade, Lisa is an accountant, and her path has taken her from Phoenix to the Southeast and back again. She started her career in Phoenix in the 1990s, working for Allied-Signal (Honeywell) as an accountant for 10 years, then later moved away – but always knew she’d return because she loved it here. Today, she works remotely as a Corporate Accounting Manager for a company based in Atlanta.
Lisa and her husband, Charlie, decided to move back a little ahead of retirement – and as she puts it, Zillow guided them to Wickenburg. They didn’t know the area at first, but quickly felt they’d “stumbled upon a hidden treasure,” and they’ve been immersing themselves in the community ever since.
One of those treasures for Lisa has been the abundance of local art and the strong artist community – especially at the Wickenburg Art Center & Gallery, which she describes as the kind of creative hub that’s hard to find. She jumped right in and got involved, and through WACG she connected with Brian and Leslie Terhorst of BLT Marketing & Design, the local creative team behind her new website. Lisa says the marketing support they’ve provided the Art Center has been outstanding – and about her site: “I couldn’t be happier!” If you’re a local business, nonprofit, or artist needing a polished website that actually reflects your brand, BLT Marketing & Design is worth a look.
Awards, recognition, and leadership
Lisa’s work has earned major recognition, including being named North Georgia Photography Club’s Photographer of the Year three years in a row (2021, 2022, 2023). She also served as Co-President of the North Georgia Photography Club, helping support a large, active photography community.
Since relocating to Arizona, she’s continued supporting the arts locally through the Wickenburg Art Club, serving two years as Treasurer and one year as Vice President – a role where her creative drive and accounting background make a strong combination.
Her photography has also been recognized in exhibitions and competitions, including a Best of Show win at the Quinlan Visual Arts Center in Georgia, plus other placements in photography competitions.
Her approach behind the lens
Lisa describes her photography as rooted in honesty and intuition. Her images are single-shot, captured in-camera – no replaced skies or false elements – with an editing style that’s become part of her signature. While she explores many genres, landscapes are her greatest passion, and you can feel that in the way she uses light, shadow, mood, and stillness.
