Wild Wickenburg Bull Riding returns April 13
For the third consecutive year, Wild Wickenburg Bull Riding is set to take place at Everett Bowman Arena on Saturday, April 13, from 7 to 9:30 p.m.
Only professional bull riders, including elite high school riders, members of the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA), and Professional Bull Riders (PBR), will compete in this thrilling event. Spectators have the chance to witness top-notch cowboys in action up close, with participants coming from various parts of the western United States, along with some local talents showcased in previous editions.
Organizer Gina Kraut highlighted the excitement surrounding Wild Wickenburg Bull Riding, emphasizing the opportunity for thrill-seekers to experience exhilarating bull riding firsthand. Notably, past champions of the event, like Avery Mullins and Mason Briggs, have transitioned into successful careers in PBR and PRCA events.
Over the past two years, Wild Wickenburg Bull Riding has gained recognition as a premier event, attracting celebrity endorsers and drawing large crowds. Last year, actor Forrie J. Smith, known for his role as Lloyd in Yellowstone, attended as a celebrity guest, expressing a genuine interest in being part of the event.
Despite its entertainment value, Wild Wickenburg Bull Riding also serves a charitable purpose. The calcutta, scheduled at Rancho Bar 7 on April 12, allows individuals to auction off participating cowboys, with a portion of the proceeds earmarked for Noah Ahnlund’s kidney transplant and Becky Christensen’s cancer treatment.
When asked about the event’s appeal, Kraut emphasized its excitement, fun atmosphere, and the opportunity to witness emerging talent in bull riding, offering a unique experience for Wickenburg residents.
This year, professional rodeo clown Robbie Hodges will serve as barrel man and provide after-party entertainment in the pavilion, adding to the overall excitement of the event.
Ticket options are available and can be purchased at lazykheart.com or at the gate. General admission is $25, arena floor seating is $50 and VIP tickets, which include food catered by Rancho Bar 7 and table seating, are available for $100.
