Wickenburg is rolling from Memorial Day weekend into summer with a fresh lineup of local events, community gatherings, family activities, art, business networking, museum programs, pool season, and a few after-dark adventures.
Whether you live here, are visiting for the season, or are planning a quick trip from Phoenix, Scottsdale, Glendale, Surprise, or another Arizona community, this is a good time to check the calendar and make plans.
Here are some upcoming events to know about around Wickenburg.
The Wild Things exhibit continues at Wickenburg Art Center & Gallery through May 23. This juried art exhibition features a mix of 2-D and 3-D works and gives visitors one more reason to stop downtown, enjoy local creativity, and support the Wickenburg arts community.
The Cowgirl Up! Exhibition and Sale is also on view at Sigler Western Museum through May 31, 2026. While the Pick up (βCowgirl Up!β Art) Party has been cancelled, there is still time to visit the exhibition before it closes. The museum notes that the 2026 exhibition features 55 artists from across the country and Canada, with more than 370 works on display. It is a strong stop for anyone interested in Western art, women artists, and Wickenburgβs cultural scene.
Memorial Day weekend also brings free admission for Veterans at Sigler Western Museum. Saturday and Sunday, May 23 and 24. The museum is one of Wickenburgβs signature cultural stops, and this is a meaningful opportunity to visit, explore Western art and history, and recognize those who served.
The Town of Wickenburg PublicΒ Pool Opening Day is Monday, May 25 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Coffinger Park, with free admission on opening day. For local families, this is a clear sign that summer is here.
Pool season continues with Adult Lap Swim, beginning Monday, June 1. No registration is required. Lap swim is available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m., with Monday evening lap swim from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. Adult Lap Swim is for ages 15 and older, with regular pool admission prices.
Families can also look ahead to Explorersβ Summer Camp, running June 1 through July 24 at Coffinger Park. The camp is listed for children ages 6-10 and includes themed activities designed for summer learning, creativity, and fun.
Before June arrives, the Summer Kickoff Glow Party is scheduled for Friday, May 29 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Wickenburg Public Pool. It is a fun way to start the season with an evening swim, glow sticks, games, and summer energy.
Business owners, residents, and local professionals also have a couple of networking opportunities coming up. Wickenburg Friends & Neighbors will host a networking mixer at Hassayampa Smokehouse BBQ on Tuesday, May 26, and the Wickenburg Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours Mixer is set for Thursday, May 28 at Los Viajeros Inn.
For anyone who likes Wickenburg history with a little mystery, Vulture City Ghost Town has a Flashlight Ghost Tour scheduled for Friday, May 30. Sigler Western Museum also has family-friendly June events on the calendar. Free Family Friday is scheduled for Friday, June 5 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the CCLC. Families can stop by, explore the museum, and enjoy a local summer activity with take-home goodies for kids.
Fathers Get In Free on Fatherβs Day at the Museum is scheduled for Sunday, June 21 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Sigler Western Museum. For families looking for a simple Fatherβs Day outing in Wickenburg, the museum is worth adding to the list.
Also on Sunday, June 21, the Healthy Pup Summer Kickoff Breakfast Buffet at Wickenburg Elks Lodge will support K9 Konnection and local furry friends. It is another easy way to enjoy a community breakfast while helping a good cause.
Looking ahead to July, Wickenburgβs 4th of July Spectacular is scheduled for Saturday, July 4 at Sunset Park. The event includes live music, food trucks, water slides, face painting, vendors, games, an off-road showcase, and fireworks. Attendees are encouraged to bring chairs, blankets, and coolers. No pets and no glass bottles are allowed in the park.
