Rancho Rio 2026 Season Opener

The gates officially open on another winter roping season with a full day of National Team Roping competition at Rancho Rio.
The Season Opener includes multiple divisions, trophy-buckle opportunities and competition for several classifications. Stalls and RV accommodations are available onsite through Rancho Rio.

The NTR Black Friday Ropings bring two days of Thanksgiving-weekend competition to Rancho Rio on November 27-28, 2026. Produced by Yost Events, the lineup includes Megabucks ropings, saddle and buckle competitions, plus Friday’s 9.5 Ram Truck Roping, with a new Ram 3500 dually awarded to the high-point roper. The first scheduled roping begins at 9:00 a.m. both days, with entries closing at 8:30 a.m. For division details, entry fees and schedule updates, contact 520-251-1495.

Vegas in Wickenburg brings ten days of team roping and Western-sports action to Rancho Rio during one of the biggest periods of Wickenburg’s winter season.

Vegas Legends adds seven days of Western-sports competition at Wickenburg’s Everett Bowman Rodeo Arena.
The event overlaps with Vegas in Wickenburg at Rancho Rio, creating more than a week of roping activity across two major Wickenburg venues.

Western Horseman Sunshine Classic – February 4-5
The Western Horseman Sunshine Classic is scheduled for February 4-5 at Roper Nation / Simpson Arena.
The published 2027 program lists books closing at 9 a.m., with the first roping beginning at 9:30 a.m. each day. Age requirements, classifications and entry conditions vary by division.

Title Fights is scheduled for February 9-13 at Rancho Rio. The arena lists the event under World Series of Team Roping.
