As the long, hot days of summer begin winding down, Wickenburg’s fall event season is coming alive with art, live music, food, festivals, outdoor adventures, fundraisers, golf, horseback riding, motorcycles, movies and even a little murder mystery.

More than 30 talented local artists are represented in this special exhibition and art sale at the Desert Caballeros Western Museum’s Cultural Crossroads Learning Center. It is a terrific opportunity to experience Wickenburg’s creative side and support local artists.

Adult Lap Swim at Wickenburg Pool

Weekday mornings through September 25

Summer may be winding down, but there is still time to get in the pool. Adult Lap Swim offers swimmers ages 15 and older a dedicated hour for exercise, fitness and focused training at the Wickenburg Municipal Pool.

Free Family Friday: Make Your Own Mini Alebrije

Friday, September 4 – 11:30 a.m.-3 p.m.

Families can explore the wildly colorful world of Mexican folk art and create their own miniature alebrije at the Cultural Crossroads Learning Center. It is free, creative and designed for the entire family.

37th Annual Fiesta de Septiembre – Tastes of Mexico

Friday, September 4 – 5-9 p.m.

One of Wickenburg’s most colorful traditions returns with a fresh evening format at Stone Park. Tastes of Mexico will celebrate Wickenburg’s Hispanic pioneers with mariachi music, folklórico dancers, live entertainment, an outdoor mercado, Mexican food, a beer garden and special tequila tastings.

Creatures of the Night Walk

Friday, September 4 – 7-9 p.m.

When the sun goes down, the Hassayampa River Preserve becomes a completely different place. Join Ranger Eric for an after-dark search for bats, owls, scorpions, ringtails and other nocturnal desert residents.

Wickenburg 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony

Friday, September 11 – 8-9 a.m.

The community is invited to gather at Stone Park for a solemn observance marking the 25th anniversary of the September 11 attacks. The ceremony will include the Presentation of Colors, guest speakers, the National Anthem, a bell ceremony, a moment of silence and a musical tribute.

Limited seating will be available, so attendees are encouraged to bring a chair.

Flying E Ranch hosts an evening of dinner, raffles, auctions, Western hospitality and fundraising in support of shooting-sports programs. Tickets must be purchased in advance – no tickets will be sold at the door.

Wickenburg’s popular fall shopping event returns for two days of local deals, special offers and opportunities to explore participating shops and businesses throughout town.

Historic Frontier Street comes alive with live music from the Honeygirl Band, German food, craft beer, food trucks, a stein-holding competition, costume contest and Wickenburg’s always-entertaining Wiener Dog Races.

The event is free and family-friendly.
