As the long, hot days of summer begin winding down, Wickenburg’s fall event season is coming alive with art, live music, food, festivals, outdoor adventures, fundraisers, golf, horseback riding, motorcycles, movies and even a little murder mystery.
September and October are packed – and this is only the beginning.

West of Center: Highlights from the Wickenburg Art Club
Now through September 27
More than 30 talented local artists are represented in this special exhibition and art sale at the Desert Caballeros Western Museum’s Cultural Crossroads Learning Center. It is a terrific opportunity to experience Wickenburg’s creative side and support local artists.
Adult Lap Swim at Wickenburg Pool
Weekday mornings through September 25
Summer may be winding down, but there is still time to get in the pool. Adult Lap Swim offers swimmers ages 15 and older a dedicated hour for exercise, fitness and focused training at the Wickenburg Municipal Pool.
Free Family Friday: Make Your Own Mini Alebrije
Friday, September 4 – 11:30 a.m.-3 p.m.
Families can explore the wildly colorful world of Mexican folk art and create their own miniature alebrije at the Cultural Crossroads Learning Center. It is free, creative and designed for the entire family.
37th Annual Fiesta de Septiembre – Tastes of Mexico
Friday, September 4 – 5-9 p.m.
One of Wickenburg’s most colorful traditions returns with a fresh evening format at Stone Park. Tastes of Mexico will celebrate Wickenburg’s Hispanic pioneers with mariachi music, folklórico dancers, live entertainment, an outdoor mercado, Mexican food, a beer garden and special tequila tastings.
Creatures of the Night Walk
Friday, September 4 – 7-9 p.m.
When the sun goes down, the Hassayampa River Preserve becomes a completely different place. Join Ranger Eric for an after-dark search for bats, owls, scorpions, ringtails and other nocturnal desert residents.
Space is limited and advance registration is required.
Free Artist Demonstration with Wendy Quine
Saturday, September 5 – 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
Watch watercolor artist Wendy Quine bring the Arizona landscape to life during a free live demonstration at the Cultural Crossroads Learning Center.
Western Trading Post Live Auction
Wednesday, September 9 – 9 a.m.-noon
Western collectibles, craftsmanship and Old West history come together during a fast-paced live auction at Western Trading Post, 935 N. Tegner Street.

Wickenburg 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony
Friday, September 11 – 8-9 a.m.
The community is invited to gather at Stone Park for a solemn observance marking the 25th anniversary of the September 11 attacks. The ceremony will include the Presentation of Colors, guest speakers, the National Anthem, a bell ceremony, a moment of silence and a musical tribute.
Limited seating will be available, so attendees are encouraged to bring a chair.
Furry Fiesta Breakfast Party
Sunday, September 20 – 9-11 a.m.
Bring your appetite and help support Wickenburg’s rescue dogs. K9 Konnection’s Furry Fiesta Breakfast Party at the Wickenburg Elks Lodge includes a $15 breakfast buffet, free raffles and plenty of community fun.
October Turns Up the Action
Youth Art Club: Beyond the Apps
Friday, October 2 – 10 a.m.-noon
Young photographers can put down the filters and discover what really makes a picture powerful. This hands-on session explores composition, action, emotion and visual storytelling at the Cultural Crossroads Learning Center.
Friends of the NRA Annual Fundraiser
Saturday, October 3 – 4:30-8:30 p.m.
Flying E Ranch hosts an evening of dinner, raffles, auctions, Western hospitality and fundraising in support of shooting-sports programs. Tickets must be purchased in advance – no tickets will be sold at the door.
Fall Movie in the Park
Saturday, October 3 – 6-9 p.m.
Grab a blanket or lawn chair and settle in for a movie under the Wickenburg sky at Stone Park. The movie title and additional details are still to be announced.
Horse Thieves Market
Friday and Saturday, October 9-10
Wickenburg’s popular fall shopping event returns for two days of local deals, special offers and opportunities to explore participating shops and businesses throughout town.
The Wickenburg Chamber has confirmed the dates, with participating locations and additional details expected closer to the event. See the Chamber’s annual-event schedule.
6th Annual Wickenburg Oktoberfest
Saturday, October 10 – 4-7:30 p.m.
Historic Frontier Street comes alive with live music from the Honeygirl Band, German food, craft beer, food trucks, a stein-holding competition, costume contest and Wickenburg’s always-entertaining Wiener Dog Races.
The event is free and family-friendly.
2nd Annual Bites & Brews Scholarship Dinner
Saturday, October 10 – 5:30-8 p.m.
The Wickenburg Chamber of Commerce presents an evening of special beer and food pairings benefiting a scholarship for individuals pursuing higher education. Space is limited, and the final location is still to be announced.

Community Shredding Event
Wednesday, October 14 – 9 a.m.-noon
Clear out those old records and safely dispose of sensitive documents at the Wickenburg Chamber of Commerce, 216 N. Frontier Street. The event is open to the public, with pricing charged by the banker box.

18th Annual Wickenburg Walk to Boot Breast Cancer
Sunday, October 18 – Morning
Pull on your walking shoes – or your running shoes – and join the community at Stone Park for the annual Walk to Boot Breast Cancer. Choose the one-mile walk or 5K and help provide direct support to local breast cancer patients.
Cowgirl N Cowboy Extravaganza
October 18-25
Spend an unforgettable week at Kay El Bar Guest Ranch with trail riding, horsemanship, cattle sorting, an introduction to cutting and roping, a Poker Run, breathtaking desert scenery and plenty of genuine ranch hospitality.
27th Annual High Desert Golf Classic
Saturday, October 24 – 9 a.m.-1:30 p.m.
Gather a foursome or register individually for a four-person, 18-hole scramble at Wickenburg Country Club. The day includes friendly competition, prizes, a silent auction and an awards luncheon supporting the Wickenburg Chamber’s Senior Scholarship Program.
Paws & Paintbrushes: Midnight at the Masquerade
Saturday, October 24 – 4-8 p.m.
Someone has committed murder at the masquerade – and it is up to the guests to uncover the culprit.
This interactive murder mystery dinner at the Wickenburg Ranch Event Hall benefits K9 Konnection Rescue and the Wickenburg Art Club. Tickets are $125 and masks will be available upon arrival.
Annual Wickenburg Halloween Ride
Sunday, October 25 – 9 a.m.-noon
Motorcycle riders will gather at Rancho 7 Restaurant before heading out on a scenic Halloween ride through the Arizona landscape toward Prescott and Kirkland.
Costumes, classic motorcycles and Halloween spirit are strongly encouraged.
The Rocky Horror Picture Show
Tuesday, October 27 – 6:30-9 p.m.
The cult classic takes over the historic Saguaro Theater for one night only. Expect costumes, audience participation, prop bags, cash prizes and a delightfully strange evening benefiting Wickenburg High School scholarships.
Tickets are $10.
NATRC Region 2 Competitive Trail Ride at Boyd Ranch
October 31-November 1
Close out October on horseback during a weekend of competitive trail riding, desert scenery and Western horsemanship at Boyd Ranch. Riders of different experience levels are welcome, and junior riders participate free.
